Help, Selling Laptop, Don’t Know How Much To Ask?

Submitted by admin on September 23, 2009 – 3:19 am3 Comments

I have a 2006 compaq presario C300, it works fine, a little on the slow side though, the touchpad paint or whatever has faded leaving a white patch, one of the hinges has snapped off, (there’s 4 hinges), and there’s alot of scratches and marks. It was bought for NZ $1500 in late 2006. How much do you think it’s worth?

    With the spec’s listed:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…
I would say 200-350. Because for 600-700 I can buy new with the same spec’s and a warranty.

i would say, just off the top of my head, around $600-750.
don’t be fooled….its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you want to sell a $1500 laptop that is roughly a little over 2 years old for $150, thats one heck of a depreciation! lol…and yes you can get a new laptop (craptop) for 4-700 dollars, but what are you really getting? not much, especially when you are buying from Wal-Mart.

Go to http://www.ebay.com/ and http://www.amazon.com/ to see what they are selling for. I would think from $150.00 to $200.00 used working lap tops do not bring very much.
